Frequently Asked Questions
How do I verify an address?
Call the Address Numbering Section if you need to verify your existing address for the purpose of septic repair, replacing or remodeling an existing home or for any other permits required for the job you will be performing on your property. If the address is in our system, a letter verifying your address can be mailed, faxed or picked up. If it is not in our system, a verification application will need to be completed and a copy of your property deed and parcel identification number is required.
How do I get or apply for a new address?
An application form can be mailed, faxed or you can come into the office to fill out the form. A property deed, parcel identification number and $40 dollars are required for a new address. It takes approximately 3 – 5 days for the address to be complete.
What information do I need to get an address for a new home?
Property deed, parcel identification number and land use/zoning approval. For large parcels or parcels for which a second dwelling will be added, a site plan will be required.
How much does it cost to get an address?
$40 for each new address. For new subdivision developments only, call the Address Numbering Section for fee details.
How many homes can I put on my land?
